Options
This smooth round curved shaped light has been used especially for the illumination of assembly lines. The fixtures were connected to each other, creating long lines in order to illuminate the most crucial places of the factory. The Speckled Dolphin is constructed of a steel-plated body featuring four porcelain E27 sockets, and features two frosted acrylate side panes, in order to create a soft and diffuse light.
ORIGIN
The fixture originates from a former spinning mill in East Germany. Together with many other fixtures the lamp was found at one of the many production lines. The textile factory had been operational for over 80 years under many different names, and ceased activity after the fall of the Berlin wall in 1989.
RESTORATION
All our lights are restored by hand with the greatest care. As unique piece of heritage, we seek to preserve the light’s authentic appearance. The lamp has been completely rewired to current standards, and fully assembled and tested to European Legislation, We hope that it may be preserved for many centuries to come.
DETAILS
The Speckled Dolphin can be supplied with either four bulbs, or fluorescent tube in different color temperatures (type of warmth). It is possible to have it dimmable with a fluorescent tube (additional costs of €120,-). Standard the light comes with 3.0m long cable, 2.0m suspension wires, and black canopy. Other lengths for cable and suspension wires possible on request, please specify in comments at check out. The Speckled Dolphin will be accompanied by its passport, documenting the history and origin of the lamp. 110 volt options, US & Canada wiring, and other specialties are available.
