Belonging to the ‘Turtle-family’, this lamp comprises a cast-aluminium body with a small spring-mounted porcelain E27 socket. It is distinguished by its typically splash-proof glass cover and a slender protective case. It was produced by the East German manufacturer Elektroinstallation Oberweimar (EOW), and used in almost all industries.
The lamp was salvaged from the premises of a former refrigerator manufacturer in East Germany. It was mounted to the outside-wall of a transformer house on the complex.
Th Slender Turtle comes with a 42 watt halogen E27 bulb, a 1,5 meter matt black cable, and its passport describing the history and origin of the lamp.
