The Skinny Black Rhino is a pure, simple and straightforward fixture that clearly reflects the The DDR design principle of ‘form follows function’. This light-weight variant of the ‘Black Rhino’ is constructed from a glass tube, connecting two solid cast-aluminum end-pieces. It furthermore features two aluminium ends by which it can be mounted to wall or ceiling.

The fixture is specifically designed to prevent inflammable gases, vapours, or dusts from penetrating the lamp, which was achieved by sealing the connection of the fluorescent tubes from the surrounding air. The Skinny Black Rhino was therefore often applied in explosion-sensitive premises like laboratories and chemical plants.

The Skinny Black Rhino comes with two TLD 36 Watt  fluorescent lights (warm white, cool white, or daylight), a 1,5 meter matt black cable, and its passport describing the history and origin. It can be delivered in a dimmable version on request.
