The functional design of this cabinet make it an outstanding piece of furniture. Screws, nuts and bolts were held in this tall and slim cabinet. The frame has been brushed softly, bringing out its distinctive red color. The drawers that were missing have been replaced by panes of glass creating a elegant look.
This Red Cabinet was found in an abandoned workshop alongside the Elbe river. Over the years the Elbe burst its banks several times, flooding the abandoned building entirely. The floods left a trace of mud and and a thick layer of rust on the machinery that was still present in the workshop.
