The pure and timeless design that was strongly influenced by the Bauhaus-movement, make this glass light a true classic. These lamps were produced by various East German manufacturers since the 1920s, and were often used in the basements or military barracks. The Pearl Oyster consists of a porcelain base, that includes a porcelain E27 socket, and a hand-blown glass dome. The lamp gives a beautiful light effect when mounted to wall or ceiling.
This particular angled-based lamp was salvaged from various barracks on a small military complex somewhere in East Germany. Together with several others, this lamp illuminated one of the soldier chambers.
The Pearl Oyster comes with a 42 watt halogen E27 bulb, a 1,5 meter matt black cable, and its passport describing the history and origin of the lamp.
