This impressive industrial light consist of a painted steel plate body with two cylinders holding a reflecting shade made of aluminium. During the DDR era, these twin deep bowl reflectors were used in large numbers to illuminate workshops and warehouses from great heights. The number on the body refers presumably to the position of the lamp.
The lamp was found in an abandoned warehouse of a former state-owned cable manufacturer. Together with many others it illuminated one of the the main production areas.
The Camel comes with two 42 watt E27 halogen bulb, a 1,5 meter matt black cable, and its passport describing the history and origin of the lamp.
The fixture has been completely rewired to current standards, and is assembled and tested to EN 60598 directive of European Harmonized Legislation. US & Canada wiring available on request.
