This functional yet elegant desk lamp was designed to improve the illumination in the workplace. The fixture consists of a steel-plated shade and an adjustable arm, and features an internal on/off switch. It has been designed so that it can be easily attached to the rim of a desk or shelf which was often seen at the school of Bauhaus. The beautiful corrosion is created by the humid environment in the basement where the fixture was found, giving it an industrial and authentic appearance.
The Bush Viper originates from a former spinning mill in East Germany. Together with many other fixtures the lamp was found in a wet basement. The textile factory had been operational for over 80 years under many different names, but had to close its doors due to the fall of the Berlin wall in 1989.
The Bush Viper comes with:
– decorative incandescent E27 bulb 60 watt
– 2.0 meter of black twisted textile cable with a grounded plug (EU standard)
– a passport describing the history and origin of the lamp.
The fixture has been completely rewired to current standards, and is assembled and tested to EN 60598 directive of European Harmonized Legislation. US & Canadian, or other 110V wiring available on request.
