Question

This discrete pendant light dates from the 1950-1960s, and is related to both the ‘True Oyster’ and the ‘Soft-shell Clam’. Its pure and clean design features a porcelain base with a hand-blown glass dome, which creates an very special lighting effect. The Anchored Nautilus features a wall-mounting construction, that is able to rotate over a 180 degrades radius, and can be adjusted in height. The arc-formed constructing is made from hot-rolled steel, to gives it that typical marine-blue color.

These fixtures originate from a small military complex north of the German capital Berlin. They were hanging from the ceiling in one of the many barracks, that used to be the soldiers accommodations.

The Anchored Nautilus comes with:
– 42 watt E27 halogen bulb
– 1,5 meter of black neoprene cable
– a passport describing the history and origin of the lamp.

The fixture has been completely rewired to current standards, and is assembled and tested to EN 60598 directive of European Harmonized Legislation. US & Canada wiring available on request.
